As the General Manager of Nordic Drugs, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Nordics region (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway) of the company. You will lead, motivate and develop a team of 26 employees and be situated in Malmö, Sweden, reporting to the regional VP.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that the strategic goals of the group are met by setting and implementing the business plans, whilst achieving the related financial and other objectives defined by the group. You will define the commercial strategy for the current product portfolio and lead its implementation. You manage the multichannel Marketing and Sales strategy for the successful positioning of products, allocating resources, maximizing sales, growing the market share, and achieving sales targets.
In collaboration with Business Development you identify, evaluate, and implement new business opportunities (acquisitions, licensing, partnerships) to further develop the business.
Your cooperation and interaction with other GMs and corporate functions within Nordic Pharma will be a key success factor for this role. As GM at Nordic Drugs, you will lead 26 employees and be situated in Malmö, Sweden, reporting to the VP Europe.
Main responsibilities and tasks
• Evaluate, define and establish the right organization, with adequate structures, systems and processes, to ensure that it is cost-efficient and optimized to achieve the objectives
• Propose and implement the annual Business Plan and budget, with short term and long-term strategy and objectives for the company and the relevant markets
• Ensure an adequate management of cash-flow, stocks and working capital of the Company in line with the internal requirements and guidelines from the Group
• Define and implement a Commercial Strategy (current product portfolio and new business opportunities)
• Lead, coach, develop and motivate the team, and oversee all departments
• Work closely with group departments to align objectives
• Ensure that the accounting and reporting are performed in accordance with the local regulations
• Know and understand the Health Authorities and Pricing and Reimbursement process and rules to facilitate local Marketing Authorization approvals
• Develop and maintain relationships with Experts, KOLs, scientific societies & patient associations
• Ensure that the company holds the required Authorizations and Quality and Safety regulations
• Ensure compliance in business and employee activities with local laws and regulations, Group Policies and SOP
Qualifications, experience and skills required:
• Three to four years’ experience as a General Manager/Sales Director/Marketing Director or simular position within an International pharmaceutical company
• A broad vision of how to run a company, experience from Management Team
• University degree in a scientific and/ or commercial domain and financial (P&L) knowledge • Profound knowledge of the nordic market
• Extensive experience in B2B sales management and demonstrated ability to develop and execute result-oriented (sales) strategies and continues improvement
• Inspirational leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, keen to build a culture of innovation, agility, accountability and transparency
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and oral
